Take Care of Your Beautiful Self
Dear Deep Soul,
The question of the day seems to be how much change can you handle? How well can you show up and take care of your beautiful self as things shift and transform around you? I seem to be walking through a river that keeps moving and changing. You, too? Where it was shallow, today—it might be a deep hole tomorrow. Mother nature continues to provide new opportunities to build our flexibility muscle. It really is not about right and wrong/good or bad anymore. Instead nature is asking us to notice how we are BE-ING with each tragedy and each celebration.
September is a special month. On September 20th it is the full Harvest Moon and all summer crops are brought in. It is also the month of Fall Equinox, Sept 22nd when we experience equal day and equal night. From that day on, we begin to see signs of mornings and nights getter darker (if you live in the Northern Hemisphere). How might you prepare for this fall season?
I imagine that you feel the rush and action from having not done as much for a while. Such as schools beginning, more work, returning to work, and assessing how to manage being with friends and colleagues. Many folks, perhaps including you, might feel overwhelmed by so much activity. It only took a year of being in our quiet space, that allowed us to stop and reflect. Did you like the exuberant energy of being busy? Even this summer when things opened for a moment to see old and new friends, family, and be outdoors. Notice how you feel and what you want, now?
I would like to share some opportunities that I am either part of or have heard about that might support you wherever you are on the spectrum of busy-ness and balance.
Natural Healing
I have been thoroughly enjoying getting my certification training in Aroma Freedom Technique where we use essential oils as a tool for positive transformation. The essential oils support you to live your dreams and goals. I’d like to share a few essential oils that might assist you in this transition from summer to fall season. Scents send messages to the brain that can influence our emotions and mental well-being.
Frankincense comes from the Boswellia tree found in Africa and India and is used for medicinal and sacred practice. It can be used to protect from colds, anxiety, and coughs. It can also support you in journaling and self-care rituals. I suggest using it in a diffuser.
Ylang Ylang can be used to alleviate anxiety, boost your mood, and decrease depression.
Clarity is another oil I enjoy and helps with focus, stability, and productivity of the mind and body. It is a blend of amazing oils of Basil, Cardamom, Rosemary, Peppermint, Coriander, Geranium, Bergamot, Lemon, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Roman Chamomile, and Palmarosa.
I use Young Living oils. If interested, go here and look up a few!
Exercise continues to bring me great joy and I continue to feel strong and healthy. A recent tip that was shared with me is if you are forgetting things…first do some physical exercise such as working out at home or on a machine, bicycling, or taking a quick walk before you use that brain of yours. Your memory will improve. Really!
If you are interested in taking a beginning weight training and cardio work out for 30-45 minutes, I am starting an early morning session to help you build strength, improve your mental and emotional capacity, and support a stronger immune system.
I am starting theses new early sessions on September 20th, try it for free and see if this is for you. You will need a yoga mat, some lightweight dumbbells, and a desire to learn and move your body! Email me at karinlubin@gmail.com
Clarity and Wisdom
I am hearing that many people are needing to connect to what inspires them these days. If anything has been learned from these last two years, it is life as we know it—is an unknown.
The Passion Test process is such a powerful tool during these days and months. You get clear about what your top 5 things are that are most important for you.
Janet Bray Attwood has created a NEW assessment tool called What’s Your Passion Score. See where you are in your life right now from 0-100 (fully living your passion). Click here to find out what your personal passion score is.
Clarity can change the direction of your life to feeling more alive and purposeful when you say YES to what is important to you.
Write down ten things that have meaning to you. Consider these 8 categories to be sure you include a more inclusive picture of your life:
- spirituality
- recreation/fun
- education
- health
- relationships
- physical environment
- work/career
- legacy
In the Seasonal Wisdom Fall Journal as well as the Internal Family Wisdom Journals, there is a place to write your passions. Take some time to describe and write down these things that have meaning for you.
If you are a person who wants to inspire others to live their big adventure – start with yourself. Email me at karinlubin@gmail.com and I can direct you to more info.
Intuitive Leadership with Journaling
The essence of Intuitive leadership is to deepen your inner practice of self-connection, self-awareness, and self-acceptance to better understand what you need and want for clearer communication. When you respectfully share with another, you stay in alignment with your core values and passions. When you walk your talk—trust is built. This is so needed right now.
1. I will be doing a free 3-day Journal Challenge to support your journaling practice to engage with your own wisdom. This online kick-off will help you deepen connecting with your amazing self and your emotions. Integration and connecting to yourself is so much better than compartmentalizing
2. Hold these dates, this will be on a private Zoom channel. –
3. October 13-15th
4. January 12-14th, for an online blast of clarity. Email me at karinlubin@gmail.com for more info.
The power of nature is a phenomenal metaphor for your inner life. If nature is what you love and you want to become more connected with your health and well-being, I will be offering a three-month journal Wisdom Circle. Email me at karinlubin@gmail.com if curious.
I recently read this by a woman, “I write in a journal daily. This extraordinary ritual has revolutionized my mindset, transformed my heart, and generally influenced my life exponentially.”
